Today I was asked what I thought about the recent 'Leaving Neverland' Documentary (also labelled as a Emotumentary or Mockumentary) to exploit peoples emotions...???
My response... I didn't watch it knowing the background of Jimmy Safechuck and Wade Robson, it's only takes a bit of research to discover that these old but recent allegations are nothing but phony. Once again bad news is good news for the media and they are relying on people to not investigate further and base their judgement on these two people, than to look at the bigger picture. Neither of their timelines add up and their stories have changed over the years. It's funny that Weinstein documentary was also released at the Sundance Film Feastival and I imagine that Leaving Neverland was to divert attention.
In 2003 Wade Robson denies being molested by Michael Jackson, in 2005 testifies for the defense team during the Child Molestation charges under oath as never being molested or inappropriately touched and again in 2009 praises Michael Jackson as a entertainer and family man after he's untimely death.
These allegations first came to light when Wade was rejected for an MJ Cirque du Soliel job and he's career was taking a nosedive. He has on going lawsuits against the Estate and a book which was about abuse that publishers refused to publish. The documentary I've heard is very one sided and doesn't included the Jackson family or other people that worked for him, even Macauley Caulkin and Corey Feldman, he's nanny Grace Rwaramba and bodyguards are still defending him and they were very much apart of MJ's life. The producer/director is very shady and has done many other controversial documentaries. I think it's disgusting to be honest and Michael is obviously not here to defend himself and they just want an extra buck.
Even the piece of audio footage, supposedly MJ leaving an answer phone voice message isn't even to Wade it's to Gavin and it's not even MJ's voice, why would they have a piece of audio that wasn't even theirs. The audio is extremely innocent and nothing that condemns Michael of any wrong doing. It's only the sick and twisted minds of humanity that we live in today that will make of it what they will.
This is going to start an avalanche of so called historical abuse cases and people are going to jump on the band wagon to see if they can get an extra buck too. It's basically laughing in the face of true abuse cases tbh and that's just sick.
We need people like Brett Barnes whom was another child, to speak the truth and support Michael with a true character witness.
